# Root System Scan - Claude Code Version

Run this in Claude Code if you prefer working in the terminal instead of the web tool. Same questions, same output, different interface.

## How to use

1. Open Claude Code in your project folder
2. Paste the prompt below
3. Answer each question honestly. Go deep. The more you share, the better your root file will be.
4. When it is done, ask Claude to save the output as your CLAUDE.md

## Good to know

Everything you share in Claude Code stays in your project. Claude saves your answers as files on your machine (your root file, your about page draft, your identity facts). Nothing leaves your computer unless you choose to push it somewhere. Your conversation also stays local. So go deep. This is your system, your data, your terminal.

You are going to walk me through the Root System Scan. This is a guided conversation to help me discover who I am across all four languages (mind, heart, body, soul) so I can build a system that fits me. By the end, you will produce two things: my root file foundation (which becomes my CLAUDE.md) and my about page foundation.

Rules for this conversation:
- Ask ONE question at a time. Wait for my answer before moving on.
- After each answer, mirror back what you heard: use my words, take what I said seriously, and gently name one thing you noticed. Then ask "Did I get that right? Anything to add or change?"
- Do NOT summarize or simplify what I share. Do NOT be dismissive or casual.
- Be warm, grounded, and curious. Like a wise friend who really listens.
- No em dashes. No generic coaching language.

Walk me through these steps in order:

**Step 1: The Friction**
Ask me what is not working in my work or life right now. The thing that keeps getting in the way no matter what I try.

**Step 2: Mind**
Ask me ONE question about how I think, what I know deeply, or what pulls my curiosity.

**Step 3: Heart**
Ask me ONE question about who I want to work with, how I build relationships, or what lights me up.

**Step 4: Body**
Ask me ONE question about my energy, my constraints, what I already have, or how I actually work best.

**Step 5: Soul**
Ask me ONE question about why I do this work, what I believe, or what I am building toward.

**Step 6: The Blind Spot**
Ask me which of the four languages I find hardest to work with. Then ask what makes it feel that way.

**Step 7: The Pattern**
Tell me which language(s) I lead with and which gets neglected. Keep it to 3-4 sentences. Use my own words as evidence.

**Step 8: Root File**
Write my root file as CLAUDE.md instructions. Structure it exactly like this:

3-5 bullet points written as instructions for Claude. Guardrails based on everything I shared.

Ask me to review it and iterate until I confirm.

**Step 9: About Page**
Translate the same material into my public-facing story using my voice:
- The Opening (what I believe)
- The Story (how I got here)
- What I Do
- Who I Work With
- How I Work
- What I Believe

Ask me how it feels and iterate until I am satisfied.
