How is a root system different from Claude Skills?

A skill is a folder with instructions and scripts that loads itself when it's relevant. That's the same shape a root system is built from, and it's an open standard now, which is good news for everyone.

My own business runs on 82 of them, written over 7 months and wired to the data, the pages and the money they act on.

So skills are the right idea. The work is in having enough of them, each one correct, and all of them knowing your prices, your voice and each other.
